I love this place. The food is always good. The waitresses though are hit or miss. Some are good, some are quite rude. The cooks are usually pretty nice. I wish it was a bit cheaper in terms of cost. The ingredients are always fresh and seem to be stocked full. I am from Minnesota and highly recommend this place.

Outstanding service by cooks and wait staff. Waitress was always available when we were low on beverages etc. Meats (almost bacon bit like frozen thin cuts) and veggies were sub-par when compared to other Mongolian bbqs. No dry spices available to increase the heat or accentuate a particular flavor. Reasonable prices offset the quality somewhat, but I would be willing to pay for improvement. Not my first choice, but overall a decent pick.

I've never been to HuHot but it is pretty similar to BD's Mongolian Grill. I wasn't too impressed for that reason. The food was cooked fine. I wish I had more veggie options to put in my stir fry. I felt a lot of the options didn't really make sense and a lot of it wouldn't taste too good mixed together. Our waitress wasn't very attentive to our table and we had to ask multiple times for rice before she had brought it to us. The space felt really small. It had the same atmosphere as a Buffalo Wild Wings and it wasn't enjoyable. It was an average experience and I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here.

HU-HOT! Although I know it is a chain and somewhat gimmicky, this place is fantastic. Don't go here for an "amazing culinary experience". Go here for the fact that it is basically a healthier version of an all-you-can-eat family feedback like Old Country Buffett. Tons of fresh veggies, great meat choices, and a ridiculous amount of sauces. Once you hand your overflowing bowl of goodness to the griller, you can watch them cook it up. It's great for families especially, as everybody can get what they want, and eat as little or much as they want. It is a *bit* pricey ($12 or $13 I think?), but if you consider how much food you're getting (sorry, I know I'm sounding American here), it is quite a deal. We love Hu-hot, and will continue to give them business!

So, how do a Californian who grew up in the San Francisco bay area all his life manage to end up here? I was pasting thur here on my way across the USA. As I was recommended by a friend who loves this place, I keep a open mind on this eatery. The ingredients you pick will only be what they will grilled for you on a flat iron. The ingredients are good and a nice selection of meats, noodles, fresh vegetables, and many different sauces you bring to the grilled that they will cooked for you. Very inexpensive lunch compare to where I'm from......

The most food allergy friendly restaurant in Eau Claire. Highly recommended especially if you have an allergy, everything is clearly labeled if it contains Gluten,Shellfish etc.

It's worth a try, I'd encourage you to test it out. Go when it won't be too busy and you won't waste half your day in line. It's nice that you can choose you own foods and flavors but they completely overcooked my stuff each time.

They truly are sticklers for checking IDs. My mother was carded for a glass of wine and was denied because she didn't have any form of identification. She's 68 years old. 68. Sixty. Eight. Lol. I don't know what it is but I have a hard time paying $15 for a meal that I pick out that consists of frozen meat, a trough of noodles, and canned vegetables. It's worth a shot if you want a different dining experience. And by that I mean going to a buffet and watching a high school kid flip the shit out of the mess you've put together in a bowl and then serve it to you while chanting the name of their restaurant. Oh, and you might wanna bring a bearskin coat because they keep the place at a cool 62 degrees.

Visited for the first time today and the food was good. It was $40 with tip for two people, which got us soup or salad, drinks (non-alcoholic), rice, and all-you-can-eat Mongolian BBQ. It's pretty standard Mongolian BBQ as far as that goes, but who can't find something they like at a place like this?! I wish it had some of the added options that Flat Top has (e.g., bread, make your dish into soup, etc.), but all in all I was satisfied with my meal.

Like another reviewer said, you don't come here for the culinary experience.This is one of those places you go to when you're really hungry and just want a ton of tasty food. Just put whatever you want in your bowl and throw it on the grill, and boom you got some pretty good stir-fry. The sauce options they had were seemingly endless, we just chose to mix a bunch of random sauces every time we got a new plate. Ended up kind of tasting the same each time but still delicious. Service was also good.

Daniella our Waitress was fantastic! Can't say the same about the "chefs" or manager. We observed a health code violation (chef cooking scratched his neck with the spatula he was cooking with!!!) disgusting! When brought to the attention to the manger he didn't seem like it was a big deal and we watched him talk to the chefs it was like a group of kids chatting. What a joke. I can only assume many other things are unsanitary, BEWARE!
